VISIT ART STUDIOS AND ART GALLERIES IN UGANDA FOR AN INSIGHT INTO THE CREATIVE PROCESS
It’s said that art is one way to truly understand the culture and heritage of a nation, and Uganda is no exception. From the contemporary fine artists who owe much to the Makerere Art School of the 1930s to ceramic artists, woodcut printers, photographers, sculptors and those who practice traditional African crafts, the modern art scene in Kampala is rich, vibrant and tells a powerful story. Visit art galleries in Uganda for an insight into the creative process.
MUSEUMS AND ART GALLERIES IN KAMPALA
Kampala is an exciting, modern city and the place to go if you want to get a taste of what contemporary Ugandan art is all about.
If you choose to holiday with Venture Uganda, we can arrange a half or full day tour of the city’s museums and art galleries so visitors can see the latest work from artists working in a variety of mediums.
MEET THE ARTIST
Because we’re based in Kampala and we enjoy art ourselves, over the years we have been lucky enough to build up an excellent relationship with several talented people. A visit to a private studio is therefore an opportunity to get to know working local artists, to listen to their personal stories and understand what inspires the creative process.
Maybe you’d like to have a go yourself? We can even arrange a class where you can participate in a range of activities including painting, sculpture and woodcut printing.
