Tanganyika, L. Turkana, L. Kivu, L. Nyasa, L. Mweru, L. Rukwa, L. Albert.

Their origin dates back to 12million years ago when the tectonic plates of East Africa moved to the northeast of the rest of Africa, this movement created the great Rift Valley diverted the flow of rivers into depressions which developed into the mentioned lakes.

What to Expect

Not only these major lakes are considered in the great lakes but also other lakes like L. Bunyonyi, L. Edward and George, L. Kyoga among others as there is no definite size for great lakes. All these creatures are situated in the Great Rift Valley region both of the Western arm of the rift valley and Eastern arm of the rift valley.

Day 1Transfer to Kibale National Park

In a sun rise meet our staff at your accommodation for brilliant great lakes circuit via Kampala Fort portal highway connected to Mbarara Fort Portal highway at Kiko tea estate’s main entrance giving you the riches and absolute gorgeous green tea plantations in the rolling hills of Kibale coupled with crater lakes giving you a true African experience, to the Park for lunch, After lunch relax at your lodge as you reserve more energy for your next day.

Day 2Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk

You wake on an African tea/Coffee cup to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking briefing before setting off to the park’s main trail head to our wild brothers and sisters the great apes “habituated Chimpanzee” coupled with 13+ primates, bird life not to mention for you’re to experience your sold dream to Uganda while in the true tropical rain forest, the activity lasts for 2-8hours and a 1hour period is permitted to you with the apes after return to the Lodge for lunch. After lunch strike an adventurous nature to the Bigodi wetlands offering you a beautiful scenery coupled with butterflies, birdlife to adding you a primate count, return to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 3Bond to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your morning breakfast dissect the Western arm of the great East African rift valley escarpments with exciting views of different forms of crater lakes and rolling hills via Fort Portal Kasese high way with a stop over at the equator for photos, proceed to your lodge, relax and have lunch. After lunch hit the boat launch along the dominant Kanziga channel giving you a butting to wild life, birdlife and great slacken memorable cruise, return to the Lodge for an overnight.

Day 4Game drive for Tree climbing Lions and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Explore the Pearl of Africa after your early morning breakfast, we sprawl our drive to the southern sector with our packed lunch adding on our animal count to including primates, birds, elephants to Ishasha for the dominant tree climbing lions taking us for a lunch break, after lunch we connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the beautiful rolling hills of Kigezi on a weather surfaced lord. Accommodation at Buhoma lodge, Mahogany spring Lodge for luxury, Silverback lodge, Buhoma community lodge for Mid-range.

Day 5Gorilla tracking and nature walk

After your early morning breakfast, you report to the park headquarters for Gorilla tracking briefing then we strike the enormous Impenetrable for the wild mist giants following trackers in a team with armed ranger for our security, on your encounter with the giants a period of 1hour is permitted to you as you enjoy them feed, play and enjoy their wild freedom. The activity takes 2-8hours later return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will take an adventurous walk to Munyanga falls offering you a wide range of primates, birdlife and un limited plant life with a chance 2% meeting wild Chimpanzees or Gorillas. Return back to the Lodge for an overnight.

Day 6Batwa experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

In an early morning allow the fog to fade a way as you devour a cup of African tea/coffee, you’re joined by our staff for the noble pygmy (Batwa) behind scenes, enjoy the native culture, beliefs and customs that will propel you to lunch. After lunch sweep past the enormous hills of Kigezi to ushering us to the Switzerland of Uganda hosting the 2nd deepest lake East Africa and third on African continent “lake Bunyonyi” arriving in the evening. Accommodation at Bunyonyi overland resort, Bird nest lodge, Lake Bunyonyi Eco resort all at mid-range.

Day 7Visit the punishment Island, canoe ride and community walk

In an early morning enjoy the mystic morning coupled with fog and in the sun-rise ride your canoe to the punishment island where you will enjoy history and folklore from the site guides and return back to the lodge for lunch, after lunch we set for any Island of your choice coupled with a believed Bilharzia free water swim giving you a true tranquility of the lake. Return to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 8Steer to Lake Mburo National Park

After your early morning breakfast check out from your accommodation and drive to Lake Mburo National Park via Kabale Mbarara highway with a lunch stop at Zebra zone home stead or Kawa Kanuzire Restaurant at Igongo Cultural Center and museum, after lunch steer to the park lodge, relax and have an overnight.

Day 9Game drive, Boat cruise and nature walk

After your early morning breakfast drive to the park head quarters for a wonderous game drive for great game including terrain vegetation of grassy and thorny bushes, wetlands acacia woodland, and rock outcrops coupled with stunning seasonal valleys, return back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch dawn for the extreme boat cruise exposing enormous kingfishers, hippopotamus, fish eagles and crocodiles to the swinging bird melodies coupled with fresh prevailing air, overnight at the Lodge.

Day 10Transfer to Kampala

After your early morning breakfast drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for more pictures and taste of African cuisines, proceed to Kampala arriving in an early evening.

Day 11Source of the Nile

Strike the Jinja Kampala high way via Mukono branching off to Sezibwa falls, hike top of the falls, nature walk and enjoy a cool eco-fresh environment, board back joining Jinja high way with a stopover for the African grilled chicken drums and head to Mabira Forest for an adventurous walk coupled with primates marking our morning activities. Proceed to Jinja crossing the new jinja bridge adjacent to the Ripon falls with a lunch stopover. After lunch spark the boat ride to the source of Nile on your encounter take photos and proceed to Lake Victoria where you will notice the Nile waters sprawl making their way to Mediterranean Sea.

Day 12White water rafting and Quad biking

In an early morning meet rafters’ team after your breakfast for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of the rafting activity that is about 3-6hours regarding to the stage of your choice, the raft sprawls through different falls to Itanda falls, lunch break for you. After lunch you head for quad bik es around adjacent communities to the Nile, your first given a 30minutes training before the initial activity set off. Return to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 13Bungee jumping and return to Kampala

After your early morning breakfast shoot the Bungee jumping activity a long the Nile, here your joined by a specialized team in the activity and only recommended fit clients are allowed the activity lasts for about 4hours return to the lodge for lunch before adjourning from the adventure city Jinja. After lunch return back to Kampala for an overnight.

Day 14Half day Kampala City tour and return to your accommodation or board a flight at Entebbe airport

Our staff joins you at your accommodation after your early morning breakfast, sign out of your hotel to Uganda Museum for the native to modern life stile and culture, tradition and history of Uganda having your lunch at Uganda Wildlife Education Center. After lunch return to your accommodation or board a flight at the airport.
